Titanium Athletics, established in 2010 and located in New Freedom PA, is conveniently located off I-83 on the PA-MD line, and has experienced amazing cheer seasons, tremendous growth and shaped a great deal of athletes. We have grown to athletes from 2 states and 9 different counties. In season 5 we hosted 11 teams with countless program and athlete accomplishments including National and Grand Championships, specialty awards for choreography and excellent performances, and collected trophies, banners, jackets and backpacks. This past season 10 of our 11 teams received Full or First Place Bids to US Finals and our first ever Level 5 team recieved a Bid to The Cheerleading Worlds.
We attribute our success to our cheer platform, as we strive to provide a healthy progressive cheer environment and a positive experience for our parents, friends, staff and all of our cheerleaders no matter what level! We believe that every child can cheer and benefit from the rewards of dedication, teamwork, respect and goal achievement. Our Program is designed around the fun, challenges and rewards of being part of an elite, competitive cheer team and family. We are committed to providing the highest level of quality training and use a model that encourages continuous skill progression for each cheerleader as an individual and team member. Every child’s accomplishments are celebrated throughout our facility with a resounding ring of our skills bell, and everyone stops what they are doing to applaud the achievement! We are competitive, but also serious about having fun and supporting our family members.
We have a true family atmosphere for our membership and our TCA Spirit Crew helps to provide multiple gym-wide bonding events so that we can celebrate teams’ accomplishments and have fun together at events such as the TCA End of Year Party
Julie started cheering when she was 10 years old and by the age of 14 she was coaching local recreational youth and AllStar teams. She began her AllStar career with the Maryland Flyers where she was named cheer captain and led her prestigious team to winning several national championships. Meanwhile, she was also cheer captain for the Arundel High School cheerleading squad and successfully managed numerous community cheer camps. Individually, Julie has received numerous honors and awards at the national level as a competitive cheerleader. This included being selected as an elite cheerleader to participate in the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. Julie has also cheered for the MD Twister open team, coached for Cheer Thunder, and served as a guest judge to many other teams in Maryland, Pennsylvania, and Florida. During that time she also obtained a BA, magna cum laude, in Fine Arts (Interior Design) from the International Academy of Design and Technology. Julie is USASF certified for levels 1-5, First Aid and CPR certified.
Theresa, known as "Coach T" brings to Titanium Athletics, 26 years of successful marketing, management, and community cheer coaching experience. She started cheering at the age of 12, coached a recreational cheer team as a young teen, and ran her first successful cheerleading camp when she was 16. She was named cheer captain for her varsity team and selected for the elite Big 33. Theresa has a Bachelor's degree in Public Relations and Marketing as well as Graphic Arts from Shippensburg University. While in college she also became a founding sister of the university's Alpha Omicron Pi Sorority, Tau Lambda Chapter. She has business experience as a sales and marketing representative, shore property owner and manager as well as small business owner (Kennel/dog breeding and training center as well as Stick it Graphix). In 2009 she was invited to be the Youth Spirit Cheer Program Coordinator for the Harrisburg Stampede (professional, American Indoor Football League). In that capacity she was named the "Peoples Cheer Coach" by Nipsy from radio station 105.7, The X. Currently, she is working with The Revolution, York City's minor league baseball team, in the development of the RevLeader Cheer Experience program, as well as other community out-reach activities in Southern York County.
Meanwhile, she has acquired more than 15 years of successful cheer coaching experience, cheer program development and choreography experience. She is USASF certified for levels 1-3, holds a USASF safety judging certification, and is CPR certified. Coach T can be found passing out Airheads all over the gym!!
Keith started coaching gymnastics when he was just 16 years old. His excellent coaching skills were immediately apparent as he was also invited to coach within several local cheer teams. Meanwhile, he spent several years competing as an All Star Cheerleader with the Maryland Flyers and Maryland Twisters, two nationally ranked teams where he was recognized with numerous awards for his specialty in stunting, acro and power tumbling. Despite the fact that he is a die hard Steelers fan, at the age of 18, Keith went on to be the youngest male cheerleader (cheer and stunt teams) for the Baltimore Ravens. He received additional honors and awards from the Baltimore Ravens including the honor of running the flags at the start of the game and receiving the “Unsung Hero” award. Over the past 15 years Keith has also served as tumbling coach for several national and world's award winning level 5 All Star teams. Keith’s students have gone on to cheer with professional organizations and premier colleges and universities including the Baltimore Ravens, Baltimore Blast, Washington Redskins, USA Cheerleaders, and University of Hawaii, University of Maryland and Towson University. Keith is a level 5 tumbling coach and is First Aid and CPR certified.
Cody started cheerleading his senior year of High School in Dover PA where he was placed onto the competition team. After winning numerous awards he took his talents to Kent State University where he majored in Architecture with a minor in Construction Management. At Kent, Cody cheered for 3 years and competed at NCA Nationals in Daytona FL. During his time at Kent, he was asked to join The Universal Cheerleading Association(UCA) and become a cheer instructor. Cody has been a UCA instructor for 5 years where he teaches stunts, cheers and dances at cheerleading camps all across the country to college and high school students. Cody was also a professional cheerleader for The Cleveland Gladiators Kick Off Crew. After his career cheering at Kent, Cody got into the All-Star world coaching, tumbling and stunting at Ohio Explosion for 5 years. Cody has also been a Woodward instructor where he teaches tumbling during the summers to the top athletes across the country. Over the past 5 years Cody has also served as a coach for several national and world's award winning level 5 All Star teams. Cody's students have gone on to cheer with professional organizations and premier Colleges and Universities including The Ohio State University, Kent State University, Baldwin Wallace, University of Louisville, Morehead University, University of Delaware, and Penn State University. Along with other programs including Universal Cheerleading Association (UCA), and Top Gun Allstars. Cody is AACCA certified in Spirit Safety along with USASF levels 1-5.
Jessica joins the coaching staff of Titanium Athletics with a long and impressive history as a cheerleader and coach. While she was in high school, Coach Jess cheered on the North Harford High School Squad. She then coached the Jarrettsville Recreation Spirit Cheer Team for 7 years where she led them to two National Championship Titles, and a US championship title. Coach Jess encourages athleticism, dance skills and teamwork in the sport of All Star Cheerleading. She is also the office manager at Titanium. Jess is USASF certified for levels 1-5, CPR and First Aid Certified.
Melissa joins the coaching staff at Titanium with over 10 years of cheer experience at the youth, high school and collegiate level ( York College ). At Kennard Dale High School she was cheer team captain and MVP. She cheered All Star on the Open Team with the Galaxy Explosion All Stars in Laurel MD. She Coached JV and Varsity competition squads at Glenelg High School in MD, was Head Cheerleading Coach at Kennard Dale High "School and most recently coached with the Rams Cheer Extreme Varsity Competition Squad. Under her leadership, this squad won numerous top three placements at regional competitions. Moreover, they were named Grand Champions in both 2008 and 2009. Coach Melissa has judged and worked at ECA Regional/National competitions, is AACA Safety Certified, has a Master Level NCSSE Certification and is USASF certified through level 5. She is also CPR/AED certified. Coach Melissa graduated Magna Cum-laude from Kaplan University in 2005 with a degree in Dental Assisting and when she is not coaching, works for a dentist in Towson, Maryland.
Titanium Athletics welcomes Maxine Cooper to their coaching staff. Coach Maxine was a cheerleader for 16 years. This included being Varsity Squad Captain in High School and 12 years competing at the All Star level. Coach Maxine has five years of experience as an All Star Cheer coach and is USASF certified for levels 1-3. Coach Maxine combines her sweet, but firm teaching style; knowledge of natural progressions in cheering, stunting and tumbling; and sensitivity to the needs of the young cheerleader to the Titanium All Star Fusion team. When she is not coaching, Maxine is a student at Millersville University with a dual major in Elementary Education and Special Education.
Roland began his cheerleading career as an Allstar team member focusing on partner stunting and elite tumbling. He also cheered for AllStar open teams and was offered a cheerleading scholarship to Gardner-Webb University in North Carolina, where he majored in Physical Education. Roland has been coaching level 5 tumbling for over 7 years and has successfully orchestrated cheerleading and tumbling camps throughout the country.
Coach Larisa has more than 20 years of tumble coaching experience. This includes coaching competitive gymnastics and cheerleading teams at the recreational, high school and All-Star level. Her gymnastics and cheer teams have won numerous first place awards at regional and national competitions. Coach Larisa was a competitive gymnast herself from the age of 6 to 15 and also cheered for her middle school and high school teams. She currently works as an Infection and Disease Control Nurse for York County and teaches tumbling and gymnastics classes at a local community center. Coach Larisa is certified by the USASF as a tumbling and stunt coach for levels 1-6, holds certifications in CPR and first aide from the Red Cross and is defibrillator trained. She is also a teen mentor in several community programs including Big Brothers/Big Sisters and the Children of Prisoners program.
Coach Angela brings more than 10 years of cheer coaching experience with her to Titanium Athletics. Her experience includes coaching competitive cheerleading teams at both the youth recreational and AllStar level. Coach Angela's expertise is developing young children of all levels into highly successful, competitive cheer athletes. Her 15 years of daycare experience explains why she is so well-loved by the developing cheerleaders! Coach Angela is a regular at coach’s clinics and safety clinics
Caitlin brings both cheerleading and gymnastics experience to Titanium Athletics. For over 12 years she was a member of the Dallastown Cougars recreational cheer team and cheered at the high school level for football, wrestling and competition. During this time Coach Caitlin also spent two years on an All-Star cheerleading team and was a competitive, level 8 gymnast at Skyline Gymnastics Center. In gymnastics, she earned the honor of being a state finalist on the floor and in cheerleading and she was a member of the prestigious 2012 Big 33 Cheerleading squad.
Coach Caitlin’s passion for teaching children is reflected in her academic pursuit of a degree in Special Education and Early Childhood Education at York College. As a sophomore, she is currently an officer in the York College chapter of Best Buddies (organization that pairs a special needs buddy with a college student)
We would like to take this time to welcome Carly Daniels to the Titanium Athletics' Staff and TCA Family!A graduate from University of MD, College Park, Daniels holds a bachelor's of science degree in Kinesiology. She will be furthering her studies in Nursing this January. Injury prevention and proper conditioning is something she finds very important, especially in children who are still developing.Daniels grew up a gymnast, competing at the USAG level, after which she then found her love for cheerleading. While cheering in high school, on the varsity team all four years, she also competed AllStar with the Maryland Flyers. She continued her cheer career with the USA Cheerleaders for 4 years, by competing on their level 5 team and then becoming captain of their show team in Maryland. Recently, she has participated in the University of Maryland Gymkana Troupe, where she has concentrated on strength, flexibility, tumbling, and partner balancing. Along with a love for gymnastics and cheerleading, Carly also coaches with Special Olympics, and she has a passion for empowering children with disabilities. Carley is very excited to start working with Titanium Athletics and cannot wait to meet the “family!”
Coach Halle started her cheerleading career at the age of nine in a recreational program. However, her passion for the sport quickly grew as she subsequently joined an All-Star team where she progressed from levels three to five over nine more years. Coach Halle was on her junior high football cheerleading squad for two years. This was followed by four years of experience at the varsity high school level where she cheered football, wrestling and school competitions and was an All-American nominee from 2007 to 2011. She is an experienced All-Star coach and has assisted with Boy’s Club practices, cheerleading camps, and cheerleading tryouts at the high school level.
Coach Halle completed a program in elementary education at Harrisburg Area Community College and also works as an elementary school kindergarten aid and substitute teacher at the Stillmeadow Child Care Center.
Jackie was a gymnast and dancer for 10 years. She began cheerleading when she was 12 years old for the Ashland High School Varsity Cheerleading team in Ashland, Massachusetts. She went to George Washington University, where she majored in Applied Science and Technology. Jackie was a member of GWU’s large coed cheer team all five years of undergrad, cheering for all Men’s and Women’s basketball games, as well as competing at the NCA Collegiate National Championship, where the team placed top 10 all five years Jackie was a member. After graduating, she assisted at GWU practices and the NCA Collegiate National Championship while pursuing her graduate degree in Crisis, Emergency, and Risk Management. Jackie works as an Environmental Health and Safety Manager consulting for Universities and Colleges all over the east coast. Jackie is CPR/AED/First-Aid certified.
Mike is the quintessential cheerleader’s “Cheerleader” at Titanium Athletics. With a perpetual smile and tireless energy, Coach Mike brings two years of All Star Tumbling Coach experience to the gym. He is a great motivator for children of all ages in the Titanium All Star Family and resonates an unparalleled spirit and dedication to our sport. When he is not coaching, he is capturing the enthusiasm of our teams through photography as he also serves as Titanium Athletics’ resident photographer (www.seeyourpixs.com). Coach Mike is married to Jen, is a father of three and a Realtor at Keller Williams.
